Maui Boat Weddings
We've recently been made aware of a true gem of a boat, the Aikane X5. The beautiful 62 foot catamaran offers plenty of fun activities including:
- Snorkeling
- Fishing
- Sunset Cocktails
- Whale Watching
- Couples Charters
BUT, one of the things this vessel does that many don't is offer engagement, wedding, reception, and honeymoon cruises. We've written about many different ways to get married in Maui, but this is truly unique. Having a small wedding on a boat is something you and your guests will never forget.
If you have your heart set on a beach wedding, why not do the reception on a private cruise for sunset? Or come back and enjoy a honeymoon cruise with just you and your new bride/groom.
When they mentioned they do engagements too, I was blown away! What a great idea. "Honey, I've booked us a few seats on a cocktail cruise!" Then surprise her/him with a private cruise where you can propose in style. I'm sure none of your friends' engagement stories would top that!

Backside of Haleakala, Maui
We took this photo while driving the backside of Haleakala. We stopped to chat with some fisherman on the shore that are shooting for a win at the Maui Pole Fishing Championships. Let's hop they won!

Opakapaka at Mala Wailea
Fantastic dinner at Mala Wailea tonight. The Opakapaka was cooked perfectly and placed over Molokai sweet potatoes next to butternut squash and sweet Kula corn.
We also enjoyed some very tasty oysters, ceasar salad, and finished off with a coffee bread pudding. Mala is located at the Wailea Marriott, which is the second location in Maui by chef Mark Ellman. The first Mala restaurant is in Lahaina, which also has a great ocean view. We are addicted to their Kobe beef burger. It's not inexpensive, but it's worth the bucks. We suggest visiting either of these great Maui restaurants. -
